just found during check that 3 in a row of the 24 devices of last week have a qwerty ÄÖÜ kbd (sic!). And what I missed at first check too: they have nasty plastic patches obviously to cover minimal wear&tear left and right of kbd on frame, and on backside steel plate of display
<Oksana>
Can you get a refund for that?
<DocScrutinizer05>
now I found one with a qwerty up.down.left.right kbd
<DocScrutinizer05>
I don't think I want refund for that
<DocScrutinizer05>
they are refurbished, not new
<DocScrutinizer05>
the frame will vanish anyway, and get replaced by spacerframe
<DocScrutinizer05>
german customers already asked for "german kbd"
<Oksana>
Okay... German kbd is nice, yes
<DocScrutinizer05>
I don't think any small scratches at backside of display are relevant
<DocScrutinizer05>
though I wonder where from they are

Slider mechanism. Especially if it is wrongly assembled. I do hope that "original" Nokia's slider mechanism does not scratch paint off the display's backside...
<DocScrutinizer05>
I strongly doubt there are non-original sliders
<Oksana>
But disassembling it, and then assembling back, might introduce discrepancies?
<DocScrutinizer05>
I rather tend to think people might open their slider by pressing the thumb in the middle of the display and then dragging up
<DocScrutinizer05>
actually this sort of scratches could only result from too low distance between back of display and any parts in kbd body. I don't see how to assemble the device in a way so that distance would be too low
<DocScrutinizer05>
there are distance bolts and blocks
<DocScrutinizer05>
you can't shorten or forget those

<DocScrutinizer05>
anyway the nasty plastic patches make me even more distrustful for those screen protectors
<DocScrutinizer05>
but all screens I inspected so far by removing the protector looked so extremely pristine that I hardly can imagine they ever been in use before
<DocScrutinizer05>
on a sidenote: mouser just updated shipping info for the beagleboards: new: MAY 04, 2016

<Oksana>
Maybe, they have a good source of new touch-screens?
<DocScrutinizer05>
looks like
<DocScrutinizer05>
if I had to guess, I'd say they also swapped some keymats and prolly all battery lids
