<bobthecow> ddfreyne: know what drives me crazy? mixed underscores and hyphens in package names.
<bobthecow> yeah, i know you're supposed to. "best practice" and all. but wow, that looks dumb.
<ddfreyne> bobthecow: Yeah.
<bobthecow> template looks good though.
<bobthecow> why don't you make a nanoc create-plugin command?
<bobthecow> asks the user what their plugin name is, then clones this repo and does the string replacements.
<ddfreyne> bobthecow: That wouldn't really solve a problem though
<bobthecow> friction?
<bobthecow> everyone's all about generators these days :P
<ddfreyne> Meh ;)
<ddfreyne> I haven't been super active with nanoc lately. I wanted to change that today, but the stuff i was working on makes not that much sense anymore. Gah!
<bobthecow> what stuff were you working on?
<ddfreyne> Items not stored in memory but queried from the data source every time
<bobthecow> why doesn't that make sense anymore?
<ddfreyne> My WIP code doesn't :)
<bobthecow> oh, gotcha.
<bobthecow> i was going to say, that seems reasonable to me :)
<bobthecow> ddfreyne: the other day i rebased, finished, merged and/or archived about 30 WIP branches on one of my projects.
<bobthecow> now i'm down to 16 — 6 of which are outdated and only kept around for posterity — and i'm feeling a lot better about things :)

<ddfreyne> bobthecow: for nanoc, I only have a few WIP things, but I simply hadn't touched them in a while
<bobthecow> yeah, mine were in the same place, there were just a bajillion of them.
<bobthecow> so i actually got a lot of them merged, and the ones i didn't i either renamed the branch to outdated/* or rebased onto current dev branch.
<ddfreyne> I've been pretty busy with work-related stuff and because that I haven't touched nanoc in a while
<ddfreyne> But things will get a bit easier soon-ish
<ddfreyne> (I hope)
<ddfreyne> I'm not doing overtime, but the stuff I do takes up a lot of energy.

<ddfreyne> Ahh, I made progress!
<ddfreyne> Also, the dependencies are no longer stored backwards in nanoc 4.0. I have no idea what made me do that in the first place.
<ddfreyne> (4.0: A depends on B -- 3.x: A is dependended upon by B)
<ddfreyne> depended, rather
<ddfreyne> I am too tired to continue. I am making retarded commits.
