I could see 4k decoding being licensed or the die failing work do it when testing. gigabit ethernet sounds more like a marketing thing to stop too many customers going for the cheaper chip

A10 VE can also decode/encode at 4k (just not in realtime), is not the hardware that is limiting the size of the video, but memory bandwidth
