<nove>
libv: unaligned register where?
<nove>
libv: but is true, before this, the only last time that i poked registers was in a mips dvb-s settopbox
<libv>
nove: your register template has "4B" in it :)
<libv>
nove: it's going to all be 32bit aligned
<libv>
sometimes you will get it divided up, but still, the main access routines will all be 32 bit
<libv>
nove: also, Default (Hex), the hex seems superfluous, as you would notate it as 0xXXXXXXXX and decimal would just be numbers

all of this makes the result of your register template a lot cleaner and intuitive

kenny: he pushes it to linux-sunxi/sunxi-devel as well afaik
<Turl>
kenny: CB2 can use either emac or gmac
<Turl>
CB3 can only use gmac
<kenny>
Turl: thanks. A couple ppl in #cubieboard are having ethernet issues in 3.4. I thought maybe testing a newer kernel could help point out if it's hardware or not.
<Turl>
kenny: you do realise that anything other than 3.4 is not feature complete right?
<kenny>
Turl: yes, it was just a test idea
<Turl>
ok :) just making sure

Turl: have you seen many/any complaints about ethernet not working on CB3s? Any insight in to what it could be?

kenny: at all? not really
<Turl>
kenny: most people's problems with ethernet tend to be lack of driver (ie, they didn't compile in/load the kernel driver), interface not up/configured, or bad cable
<kenny>
they're both seeing: gmac_open: Cannot attach to PHY (-19)
<Turl>
-19 is -ENODEV
<Turl>
kenny: do you have a full log?
<kenny>
no, but they're both still in the channel if you can offer any help. Did you want me to send them this way?
