<Hauke> I am trying to port OpenWrt to my Rock64 (rk3328), I am suing this documentation: https://github.com/u-boot/u-boot/blob/master/board/rockchip/evb_rk3328/README
<Hauke> now I saw that I should use the binrary only tools trust_merger and loaderimage, but I do not like this
<Hauke> is the source code for these tools avalibale somewhere?
<Hauke> are the patches to use uboot spl boot already working on the rk3328?
<BenG83> contains SPL and some other fixes needed to boot from SPI flash as well
<BenG83> fixed USB and Ethernet support
<Hauke> BenG83: thanks for the link
<BenG83> network booting Rock64 is nice
<BenG83> writes u-boot into the SPI flash
<BenG83> (if you flash that image to an sdcard)
<Hauke> nice is there some documentation what is currently possible?
<BenG83> see above, docs are a bit work in progress
<BenG83> there is also an erase image
<Hauke> thanks
<BenG83> you can also access from linux
<BenG83> SPI flash is defined as a MTD device in the devicetree
<Hauke> SPI support is also nice
<BenG83> you could try adding OpenWRT to ayufan´s image build system
<BenG83> it´s pretty neat and using Docker and Jenkins
<Hauke> I will have a look at this, at least this project looks like it is going into the right direction (upstream)
<Hauke> my plan was to add support for rockchip SoCs to mainline OpenWrt
<BenG83> the images use eiterh BSP or mainline upstream plus patches

<Hauke> I connected a 3.3V uart to pin 6,8 and 10 on this picture: http://files.pine64.org/doc/rock64/ROCK64_Pi-2%20_and_Pi_P5+_Bus.pdf
<Hauke> but I do nmot see anything when I but in a sdcard
<BenG83> did you cross RX/TX?
<Hauke> yes
<BenG83> also can your UART do 1.5Mbit?
<BenG83> 1500000 8N1
<BenG83> that´s ok
<Hauke> I will try 1500000
<BenG83> RK´s standard baurate is 1.5Mbit
<Hauke> that ok thats fast I assumed 115200
<Hauke> I hope my chineese uart adapters support that
<BenG83> PL2303HX, FT232RL and CH340G work usually
<lurchi_> fdti can do that, ch34x not, cp2102 can be reprogrammed
<Hauke> I have different UART adpater here, I tried cp210x and pl2303
<Hauke> at least these drivers are used, if there are chinese copies in the market I am using them ;-)
<hanetzer> lurchi_: cp2102 can be reprogrammed, as in the firmware on the adapter itself?
<Hauke> there is a FW in the adapter?
<BenG83> for PL2303 is depends on the version
<BenG83> PL2303HX works
<BenG83> *it
<beeble> cp2102n works up to 3mbaud
<Hauke> These are 1$ UARTs I do not think they contain a real sillicon labs chip ;-)
<Hauke> I use this to connect: "screen /dev/ttyUSB0 1500000"
<Hauke> is that correct?
<beeble> as long as your adapter does not default to any flow control, yes
<beeble> if you don't see any output check your wiring (cross tx/rx) and if the rock64 has it's dual role usb port accessible, see if the device is in maskrome mode
<beeble> if thats the case something is wrong with your image
<Hauke> ok I will check
<BenG83> upper USB2 port
<Hauke> I have to organize a USB OTG adapter first
<lurchi_> hanetzer: google for cp21xx program
