Hello, i have a question how to diagnose boot problems. I have a http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Newsmy_CarPad_NU3001 that i can flash via the rkBatchTool. The image (Android) starts sucessfully. But when i disconnect the power and reconnect it, the devica always stays in MaskRom mode (blue square).

And when i load the loader RK3188Loader(L)_V2.19.bin into the RAM at address 0 and click EraseIDB in RKAndroidTool v1.37 the device boots.

rperier: I didn't assume this at all :-) ... deciding about merging patches/pull request is always a task for the maintainer above (Dave in this case), Reviews and are therefore just indications that the change is correct [if it isn't obvious from the patch itself]

and an Ack is not supposed to be used when "reviewing" patches ... it's for the case that a change touches another maintainers area [see Rob Acking my vendor-prefix]

hey cool, thanks for your feedbacks. putting archlinux on it looks faster than debian. Well as a first hacking experience on chromebook, I will first switch to a standalone linux distro (arch I think) with a chromeos kernel...then I will use a mainline kernel and to finish meta-rockchip

in fact I contribute to mainline and I maintain "meta-rockchip" (i.e yocto for rockchip) in the same time, so I use yocto/oe to cross build my distro and my kernel usually . I already have everything I need to build a mainline kernel :)

mhhh perhaps I will look at your PKGBUILDS because on some parts a PKGBUILD and a recipe is similar. It might be interesting for yocto (because I will need to write a recipe and change some stuff in order to build a kernel for chromebooks)
