jas-hacks_: sad to hear. did u do sth special?
<hste>
jas-hacks_: same sympthoms as last time?
<jas-hacks_>
hste: Combination of 4.0.0 and xbmc. I think 4.0.0 probably has the wrong temperature settings for a 95c graded CPU.
<hste>
jas-hacks_: do u know if there are some sort of fuses on the dongle? Maybe u could try put it in the freezer.I once had a charger that stopped working. putting it in the freezer for some time resat some heatprotection or sth and it worked again.
<jas-hacks_>
hste: I'll try the freezer, nothing to loose.
<hste>
jas-hacks_: did it hang when running it or after a reboot?
<jas-hacks_>
hste: it hung initially and now on subsequent boots. Might have damage the RAM.
<jas-hacks_>
In the thermal code default critical temperature is 100C, the CPU is graded at 95C max and the RAM is graded for 80C. Given the +/- 10% accuracy for the temp sensor the HOT point probably needs to be set <80 to give RAM a chance to function correctly and critical temp set to 80 or 85C.
<hste>
jas-hacks_:I hope u get it working again. the armhf roots u made is very snappy
