<Ely_arp> hi is wandboard also discussed here?
<hste> ely_arp: I don't think its a problem if u want to discuss it here :) Many of us with a gk802 want a wandboard also :)
projectg1s has quit [Ping timeout: 248 seconds]
<Ely_arp> hste: have created an ubuntu image from wandboard website and notice that SD can not be viewed by gparted - it appears something is out of range - problem is I can not size the partition to full size of sd card
projectgus has joined #imx6-dongle
<Ely_arp> is there a boot load at the start of the drive causing this issue - or something like that ?
<Ely_arp> i am using quad wandboard Rev B1
<hste> Ely_arp: Is it a image you dd to the sdcard?
<Ely_arp> hste: yep
<Ely_arp> the wandboard boots up good and the card can be read on another compter
<Ely_arp> just seems to be messed up
<Ely_arp> the image on the wandboard site is 2.7 gb
<hste> Ely_arp: so if u mount the card on the computer u can see the partition with rootfs?
<Ely_arp> hste: using sudo sfdisk -d i get the first partition starting at 16384 and two partitions of size 0
<Ely_arp> just looks weird
<Ely_arp> any not a real trouble at the moment i will try to post in the wandboard forum - thnx for your help
<hste> Ely_arp: have u looked at http://eewiki.net/display/linuxonarm/Wandboard?
<Ely_arp> hste: i have seen that, but looks like I have to study U-boot first - i think that is what is making something strange with the SD card....something for next week
<Ely_arp> a noob at this so have to take things slow :)
<Ely_arp> first impression is the wandboard is much faster than the raspberry pi
<hste> Ely_arp: it should be :)
<hste> Ely_arp: I think http://eewiki.net/display/linuxonarm/Wandboard is a good way to start to get uboot and kernel up running. Then u can try rootfs jas made for gk802 or other rootfs
<Ely_arp> hste: yep think I need to go that way - downloaded a uboot for dummies tutorial earlier today
<Ely_arp> hste: thanks for you help....need to run for now

<hste> jas-hacks_: I see your rootfs work on wandbord quad :)
<jas-hacks_> hste: Yep, seem those guys are benefiting from our experience.
<hste> and your work :)
<hste> jas-hacks_: still no hw to develop on?
<jas-hacks_> yes no hw
<jas-hacks_> hste: yep, made no difference.

<Ely_arp> hste: thnx for help before - repaired the SD using fixparts, which removed two 0 byte partitions and could then expand the ubuntu partition to full size of SD card . it seems that u-boot sits in the first 8 mb - which gparted doesnt recognise
<Ely_arp> it seems something strange with the ubuntu image for the quad Wandboard
