it's just wire with a really fine insulator.. which is used to wind transformers etc

0.1-0.15mm is even better for the small stuff IMO, 0.2mm can be quite stiff at that scale.

jas-hacks_: yep. I would solder wires on and then glue them somewhere so you can't tug them off

projectgus, with the u-boot from your installer, it does in fact boot with root FS on a card in the external SD slot
