I was called home to singapore today, I tried the celsius example and it fails on somethings where I have to add unicode() instead of bytes(). Other than that I made some progress in how to deal with support, I will have to include some awking/Makefile string macros I think but there are nice ways to support whatever python version the system has

So not much progress, the python API changes seems to work beautifully
