<azonenberg>
also i got the new SMPM connectors. These still have a little bit of a snap to the connection but the retention force is far more reasonable
<azonenberg>
My thought at this point is that i'll mate the amplifier to the bullet connectors using full-detent and consider those permanently attached
<azonenberg>
as in it will effectively be a female connetion
<azonenberg>
then put smoothbore connectors on the probe so i can easily unmate it

<Hardkrash> @azonenberg I have those Type-C cables you linked me on amazon on order, I'll report their manufacture to you when I get them in and evaluate them. I happened to need some 2 meter Type-c cables with super speed, so I decided to grab them.
<azonenberg>
Great
<azonenberg>
what i'm most interested in is DC resistance end to end on the SS lines
<d1b2>
<Hardkrash> Ok, I'll try and extract that, do oyu have a test current that you would like used?
<d1b2>
<Hardkrash> Since I don't have a 4 wire bench meter at home, I'll be using my bench supply and a DMM. Not ideal...
<azonenberg>
i mean in actual usage, ~100 mA is probably the most we'd be drawing per SS line. That's ~400 mA assuming two SSTXP/N in parallel
<azonenberg>
realistically i expect we'd be well under that
<d1b2>
<Hardkrash> Ok, it will be a bit of an extrapolation as I got the 2m cables and not the 1m.
<azonenberg>
Measure the 2m and see
<d1b2>
<Hardkrash> 🙂

<david.lenfesty> azonenberg: the current design is what I'm going to order, so ready to merge. Probably going to wait until the probe side design is done as well so I can lump everything in one order
<azonenberg>
Great
<azonenberg>
i'll have a look shortly and hopefully merge this afternoon
