16:06 <derrick13> i am starting to wonder the benefit of these SOC boards. How are they better than just a small form factor computer (INTEL,AMD64), that costs a little bit more. At least you know software will work and be available. I own the radxa, 3udoo, beaglebone,3P and they all have shortcomings. I am thinking of using small pc and arduino as I think i might get a better result

16:53 <c0d3z3r0> derrick13: yes, they have… i really can't understand why they all are fiddle around with their "own" kernels instead of contributing to the kernel community…. I don't know what to buy… the odroid kernels are at least a bit more up to date (3.14)

16:57 <c0d3z3r0> there is some kind of support for those exynos cpus in the mainline kernel but i don't know how much. gpio support should be integrated in the odroid kernel
