<idiomatic> is this the place to go for a quick benchmark request? "openssl speed aes-128-cbc" at 8192, if you'd be so kind.

<mercora> hey :)
<mercora> ive somehow produced a brick, i can get into maskrom mode but it fails ind windows and gets stuck on "Download boot..." any chance its not bricked ?
<mercora> gets stuck on linux i meant
<Bludot> yeah... erase the idb and put the bootloader back on and the other files
<mercora> erasing idb also fails
<mercora> it was a bit weired... i tried to reboot the device from android gui after flashing some new firmware... since this shut down it nerver came up again
tonikasch has quit [Quit: Bye!]
<mercora> might be really broken no ?
<mercora> its quie frustating to be not sure if this is fixable or not... from what thought to understand, getting into maskrom mode doesent really mean the flash is alright, does it ?
<Bludot> maskmode... uh..oh yeah.. you need to upload the bootloader... i only have done this in lunux. so I know the terminal commands for it but i dont know the GUI programs for windows
<Bludot> if it boots on maskrom mode: it is only soft bricked
<mercora> im more comfortable with them either :) ive even installed windows because of this devices behaviour and i thought it was worth a try
<mercora> Bludot: but if the flash is broken i mean it can be written to, physically, icould get into maskmode non the less or not ?
<mercora> *it cant be written to
<Bludot> it should be able to. I forgot that in maskrom mode you cant write to partitions
<Bludot> by the way... did you look at this?
<Bludot> use this command in linux: sudo ./upgrade_tool ul /path/to/bootloader
<mercora> yes followed it, but upgrade_tool is always stuck on "Download Boot Start"
<mercora> hm ... sudo .... i try
<mercora> same ...
<Bludot> try: ./upgrade_tool EF
<mercora> "No found loader item from config!"
<Bludot> oh..
<Bludot> try: ./upgrade_tool EF /path/to/bootloader
<Bludot> there
<mercora> same ...
<Bludot> hm
<mercora> same as in "download boot start"
<Bludot> and its stuck there for how long?
<mercora> tries 10 minutes or so
<mercora> *tried
<Bludot> hm. you also went into maskrom mode by connecting the pins on the chip right?
