<dkm> any idea why a "require 'some_gem'" would work from irb, but give me a "LoadError: cannot load such file" when in a nanoc helper?
<dkm> specificially "require 'cucumber'"
<dkm> I assume it is some different between the load paths but don't know enough about how they are set to fix it/know the appropriate fix

<bobthecow> dkm: do you have a Gemfile in your nanoc site directory?
<bobthecow> bundler only exposes the exact gems and versions in your Gemfile when running nanoc.
<bobthecow> so if you did `gem install foo` from the command line, but didn't add foo to your Gemfile, nanoc won't be able to see it.
<bobthecow> rule of thumb: always always always manage your gems with a gemfile.
<bobthecow> always.
