bobthecow: Hmmm...

bobthecow: I cannot give you access because I am no guard admin

bobthecow: Merged
<ddfreyne>
Quick heads-up: nanoc-core no longer contains the history of nanoc but starts off where it forked from nanoc
<ddfreyne>
(Full history will still be in the nanoc repository)
<musicmatze>
Why not splitting the nanoc repository into two or more repositories? Would keep the history!
<ddfreyne>
musicmatze: The history is still around though. I don't think it will be necessary
<musicmatze>
if you think so ... :-P
<ddfreyne>
Off to work!

ddfreyne: What is item.identifier exactly? Is it its path?
<musicmatze>
Where gets the items path generated?
<musicmatze>
I mean, the identifier
<musicmatze>
I have an issue: If I compile from scratch, each item gets places in output/articles/<items identifier>/index.html, except one, this gets places in output/articles/<item identifier>/<item identifier>/index.html - why?
<ddfreyne>
musicmatze: an item identifier is the filename with "content/" stripped, extension(s) stripped, and + "/"
<ddfreyne>
musicmatze: Share your Rules file and the filename of the weird file
<ddfreyne>
musicmatze: nanoc 4.0 gets rid of identifiers
<musicmatze>
thank you!
<ddfreyne>
Which will be more straightforward
<musicmatze>
Okay... How will it be then?
<ddfreyne>
compile '/articles/blah.md' do ... end
<ddfreyne>
compile '/articles/*.md' do ... end
<ddfreyne>
etc
<musicmatze>
well, that's the same as I have in my rules file, I guess...
<ddfreyne>
But without the extensions
<musicmatze>
alright
<musicmatze>
I'm currently compiling my site from a virtual box ... that's so awesome: The blog is on my main devide, but the ruby stuff is installed in the VM (mint linux) which can access the directory.
<musicmatze>
and it is still quite fast!
