15:51 <s_frit> it should be clk_i2s1, but I can't work out how to set up a device tree to switch that mux away from clk_i2s0. i'm not even sure what controls it, because the device tree setup just specifies the codec mclk as SCLK_I2S_8CH_OUT, which is id for clk_i2sout which has clk_i2sout_src as its parent

16:26 <s_frit> but looking at the device trees for boards that I don't have, I see soundcards using i2s1 with codec mclk SCLK_I2S_8CH_OUT and no assigned-clocks for i2s. so i wonder whether i'm missing something else that automatically controls the SCLK_I2S_8CH clock mux. for now i've hacked in an assigned clock to select SCLK_I2S1_8CH for SCLK_I2S_8CH
