eballetbo: your best bet is to directly kexec from the command-line (kexec -l, kexec -e), and then verify that everything works fine.

eballetbo: for example, this requires the boot kernel to have "irqchip.gicv3_nolpi=true" set on the command line

eballetbo: otherwise, the secondary kernel doesn't get any MSIs (this is a defect in the GICv3 architecture).

eballetbo: last time I checked, the screen had some timing issues after kexec, while the initial kernel was fine.
