<wadim_> Am I right that u-boot is currently missing functionality to keep the IO domains in sync with the regulators?
<beeble> wadim_: yes
<beeble> wadim_: as a workaround set the grf register in misc_init_r
afaerber has quit [Quit: Leaving]
<wadim_> alright, I just wondered if this kind of workaround is accepted in the u-boot
<beeble> having a proper way to do it would be nice but nobody was yet interested enough to model it correctly into the regulators framework

<eballetbo> hi! I am looking at ddrfreq stuff and I am wondering if this patch will be accepted in mainline: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromiumos/third_party/kernel/+/395550/14
<eballetbo> I am not sure if this is always true, I mean, looks to me that depends on ATF version running? or I am wrong?
<eballetbo> dianders^ maybe you have a clue on this?

<dianders> @eballetbo Might need to email someone at Rockchip about this? Basically I have no idea if any rk3399 devices besides those in Chromebooks support DDRFreq anyway. ...or maybe someone here knows? All the DDRFreq stuff in ATF was co-developed by Rockchip and Google engineers. It's all supposed to be upstream in ARM's ATF repo (you could check to make sure), but (I think) historically Rockchip's other devices used a
<dianders> heavily-modified private fork of ATF, so maybe they don't have any DDRFreq support at all? ...or maybe they ported all this stuff from ATF? ...from a Chrome OS device perspective, you should be able to rely on a new enough ATF.

<mmind00> yep
<adj__> I know some nice people from bq
