<fenixfunk> Honest question: fastboot is the mode the device is in when you short out certain NAND pins (usually 7&8 or 8&9) or when you press the momentary reset button, is this correct?

<fenixfunk> I'm using rkflashkit (the closest to rkandroidtool that linux has) and I just tried flashing a system.img to that existing partition on the device (ug802) but it's reporting that what is flashed is different from the file I used. Shouldn't I erase the partition and try this one more time? This is my first time using rkflashkit.

<RayFlower> Hey,I just recently installed linuxium on my mk802iv with the experimental mali modules, has anyone managed to get hw acceleration in mplayer with it?
<RayFlower> https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/cubieboard/4DQt4e6VqV8/aQtOXX4-bcQJ looks like someone is on to something here at least, I'm jsut a bit rusty at linux these days to get egl_x11 sdl working

<fenixfunk> phh, this UG802 is the rev 1 board with no momentary switch. shorting out the two pads typically near the NAND as youtube videos show... well that has been unsuccessful. getting rkbatchtool to see it just hasn't worked yet. thinking of using solder paste to attach a momentary switch.
<fenixfunk> haha, the momentary switch probably cost a lot less than the stupid 6 inch HDMI cable that came with... if only I could trade for that somehow...

<fenixfunk> OH OK now I see that Finless has issued warnings about trying to mess with the UG802 clones. I have been set up. No wonder I couldn't flash the NAND reliably (had to do three writes to get the system.img to stick)
