<Tenkawa> greetings all
<Tenkawa> wondering if any of you are still working with the xe303c12?
<Tenkawa> was wondering if the 4.0 series will run on it (hopefully without nv-uboot and just using vboot utilities)
<si1v3r> Yeah it should work now.

<Tenkawa> lets see if i can not do that again heheh
<Tenkawa> trying to catch up my xe303c12 to a newer kernel and to get xorg back up and running again.. is there a good tutorial/discussion thread thats fairly recent?
<si1v3r> I thought you got vboot working a while ago?
<si1v3r> fit blobs and stuff
<Tenkawa> nope never did
<Tenkawa> i'm running a verified 3.19.0-next setup
<Tenkawa> i dont mind using vboot
<Tenkawa> i just want to get x running really
<si1v3r> what's wrong with X? I'm using fbdev on mine and it's ok.
<glLiquidAcid> Tenkawa, you need some patches for armsoc to get it running on 4.0
<Tenkawa> glLiquidAcid: 3.18 would be fine too
<Tenkawa> 3.19 is being eol'ed so i figured i'd go to 4 if possible
<glLiquidAcid> i never looked at 3.18
<Tenkawa> glLiquidAcid: well whats a version combo that wouldnt be too hard to update this debian install to be able to use x?
<glLiquidAcid> no idea, i actually don't use x
<si1v3r> I'm trying to de-deb my life.
<Tenkawa> si1v3r: what ya switching to?
<si1v3r> slackware and openbsd.
<Tenkawa> ah
<Tenkawa> slackware is nice
<si1v3r> tougher than a block of concrete.
<Tenkawa> however since all my other arm boxes are debian atm i figured. why not
<Tenkawa> i wouldnt need x except i'm setting this all up to run one app and its X+java based
<si1v3r> I have a exynos 4412 I need to figure out how to boot...
<Tenkawa> well.. at least the java code runs..
<Tenkawa> so i just need x working and I'm set :)
<Tenkawa> guess thats tomorrow's project
<glLiquidAcid> i really hope fbdev dies soon
<Tenkawa> why?
<glLiquidAcid> it gives me constant headaches, especially the atomic interaction
<glLiquidAcid> would be much easier to just rip it out
<Tenkawa> ahh
<glLiquidAcid> maybe i should add a config like the msm driver
<Tenkawa> yay found my kernel source at least for current one
<Tenkawa> i should be able to tweak something together at least i hope
<Tenkawa> cheers all
