<daniels> libv: yes, hdmi only has a (fairly small) set of fixed clocks
<libv> daniels: arm SoC vendors are terrible that way
<libv> rcar has a single external crystal, or the main system clock and a single divider...
<libv> around 100MHz i had like 86.667 and 104MHz to choose from to get 1920x720, not sure about the actual values anymore
<libv> but with exynos, i am not too certain
<libv> the fact that they are using tables with register values, and that there does seem quite some strange distribution of the frequencies suggests that this should be possible

<libv> ah, 520MHz and a divider...

<daniels> libv: yes, many combinations are possible but not all validated
<daniels> libv: indeed, i don't have anything between 83.5MHz and 148.5MHz - for 800x600 or 720p

<Tenkawa> hi all
<Tenkawa> Anyone gotten anything newer to run than 3.8.13 kernel on xe303c12 (1st gen chromebook) without using nv-uboot?
<Tenkawa> I'd really prefer to no use nv-uboot if I dont haveto
<Tenkawa> er not
<javier__> Tenkawa: you don't have too
<Tenkawa> oh?
<Tenkawa> everything I attempted to sign and run just did nothing
<javier__> is more convenient imho but you can package any kernel on a signed FIT image and boot using the verified boot
<Tenkawa> oh cool
<Tenkawa> now I just need to figure out which one I want to try to use
<Tenkawa> heheh
<Tenkawa> so.. got a decent config for a recent kernel release that I can use to experiment with?

<Tenkawa> anyone remember the LOADADDR address I should use off hand for the kernel?
<si1v3r> 40008000?
<Tenkawa> thanks.. thats what I thought
<si1v3r> I think it just has to be 4xxxxxxx, my uboot has 41000000 listed.
<Tenkawa> ok here goes experiment #1
<Tenkawa> brb
