hste: got a nice cooler .. but i think my gk802 is almost dead it no longer boots up
<hste>
jas-hack: :(
<jas-hacks>
probably too much gpu load testing :)
<hste>
no serial?
<jas-hacks>
Nope
<hste>
hopefully a broken sdcard
<jas-hacks>
Don't think so, i tried loading uboot through usb link and that fails
<hste>
I would still try to change uboot sdcard
<jas-hacks>
tried every combination
<hste>
wandboard quad next? :)
<hste>
the ac adapter looks like it works?
<hste>
jas-hacks: Try the android sdcard . I had once problem with booting seamed dead, and when I put in the android it worked. After that the uboot worked again for me

hste: android sd doesn't boot
<dgp>
If it's totally dead and you have a hot air station.. would be nice if you could take the soc off and map the rest of the jtag pins ;)
<hste>
jas-hack: Doesn't sound good. maybe some have some tips. Wasn't it dgp that has done a lot of digging into his board?
<hste>
dgp :)

hste: jtag would be good for jas right now, but I only managed to find a few pins
<abrasive>
was your board too farked after you ran over it?
<dgp>
yeah, I can see the top side stuff fine.. I can't probe the test pads on the back to see where they come out though
<dgp>
at least no of the pads that are still attached are connected
<dgp>
The board is a bit bent though, it could be the vias are broken or something
<dgp>
I have a cheapy chinese hot air rework station but the board got nailed before I had a chance :(
projectg1s is now known as projectgus

dgp: don't have hot air station to try :(
<abrasive>
frying-pan ;)
<hste>
jas-hack: are u sure the power is working?. I had an adapter to my asus transformer that I had to put into the freezer to get it working again.
<jas-hacks>
Board is recognized by imx-usb-loader so its not complete dead, but does'nt run the downloaded uboot???
<abrasive>
that's not good.
<abrasive>
bad RAM?
<abrasive>
or bad USB cable
<dgp>
jas-hacks: $50 shipped from ebay :)
<jas-hacks>
abrasive: yeah might point to bad ram
<dgp>
I could give you the chips off of my dead board if you want to attempt changing them
<dgp>
you would need to reball them though..
<jas-hacks>
dgp: thanks, not sure its worth the effort at this stage
<dgp>
yeah, all the stuff to do it would be more than a gk802
<jas-hacks>
and i'd to explain to the wife why i need a hot air station ;)
<dgp>
I have to do that all the time. I just tell her it's from a client now
<abrasive>
that only works if you have clients ;)
<dgp>
too many clients right now :(

jas-hacks_: still no luck in booting?
<jas-hacks_>
hste: no luck
<jas-hacks_>
hste: the SC6Q888YM10AC was the first revision of the silicon so may be that is why we have 'bad' gk802's. Apparently MCIMX6xxxx part numbers should be used.
<hste>
jas-hacks_: someone got them cheap I guess.....
