<SpeedEvil> x-ray sensor teardown including die shots
<Noxz> neat, will stick that in the playlist.. I've been looking more into crystals and more or less found myself looking at optical flats/parallels lately
<SpeedEvil> I got some for no good reason - fun
<Noxz> decent ones? or the russian ones or..?
<Noxz> russian ones
<SpeedEvil> they match well to the russian gage block set I have
<Noxz> yeah, there was a bunch of overstock or something of them
<Noxz> I am watching a video on it righ tnow
<Noxz> I think I was more so thinking about various tools, like presses, that should be parallel/perpendicular and how one might do that/make it oneself
<SpeedEvil> depends to what tollerance
<SpeedEvil> the above are very good for precise square references
<Noxz> watchmaker tolerance
<Noxz> as if that is a number
<Noxz> more so the idea of mostly old stuff is available, not much new is actually made anymore
<Noxz> and the new stuff is just ridiculous swiss overpriced stuff
<Noxz> lots of the optical flat stuff on yt is w/re to making telescope lenses/mirrors
<SpeedEvil> yes
Bike has quit [Quit: Lost terminal]
<Noxz> hah, watched the vid, and he doesnt know linux, so when he is trying to mount a memory card he is like: according to the internet... and contiues to type commands as he reads them
<Noxz> he is copying everything from one of the devices for easier reading I suppose
<Noxz> hah, he may have deleted stuff, okay
<sync> you could drive busses through the tolerance watchmakers usually use compared to actual precision apparatus
