Under sata_para is sata used 1 and sata_power_en = port:PB08<1><default><default><0>
<hno>
Kruemmel_m0nster, I would guess you are low on power for properly powering the HDD. Try connecting both the dc cable and mUSB, or connect the HDD directly to your computers power supply.
<hno>
bad power conditions is a quite common cause to SATA errors.
<Kruemmel_m0nster>
I will check that thanks for the advice
<Kruemmel_m0nster>
Wow...
<Kruemmel_m0nster>
Unbelievable
<Kruemmel_m0nster>
hno: thank you so much its working but my question now is. Is there any way to power the cubie+saa with only 1 cable
<hno>
Kruemmel_m0nster, yes, via the 5V DC input. You can use the DC cable, but you need a good USB power supply at the other end that can supply preferably 2A.
<Kruemmel_m0nster>
strange i thought the ipad psu has enough ampere
<Kruemmel_m0nster>
But i wish you all a very nice day ;-)
<hno>
Yes, a 12W ipad PSU should have enough ampere. But maybe it is not supplying 5V.
<hno>
it's designed for charging ipads, not powering other things.
<Kruemmel_m0nster>
That could be the problem ill have a look with my multimeter
<hno>
The bottom of the SATA power connector is a good place to measure. You should see a satble 5V there.
<hno>
and if you have one then an oscilloscope is much better for checking the power quality.
<Kruemmel_m0nster>
I have one at my workplace but not at home
<Kruemmel_m0nster>
Ill have to look it up tomorrow
