<CM-Punk> When writing a yaml how would one ADD to a field instead of replace it?
<leftylink> the maybe-useless answer is "the same way you would add to, instead of replace, the value of a variable of the same type"
<leftylink> the question-that-might-lead-to-an-answer is "what type is the field"
<CM-Punk> It would contain lines to sample and send to a channel when triggered

<Zackio> There, dominikh, bug reported (https://github.com/cinchrb/cinch/issues/160), sorry for the delay. :P
<dominikh> no problem, I did not feel an urge to work on it yet, anyway :P
<dominikh> thanks

<lagweezle> Good <time_of_day>!
<onewheelskyward> template parse error
<lagweezle> For the sasl.username / sasl.password goodness ... does that handle when nickserv goes braindead and needs a re-auth?
<lagweezle> onewheelskyward: very nice! =D
<dominikh> lagweezle: it does not handle re-auth, no.
<lagweezle> dominikh: Was figuring such, but confirmation is always good. Mildly bothersome that it is still considered 'private'. :/
<dominikh> lagweezle: which method is private?
<lagweezle> I may have hallucinated that. Let me go and double check.
<dominikh> (I have absolutely no idea. I do suspect the SASL code to be private, but I have no idea where it is :))
<lagweezle> dominikh: It looks like you had a damned fine question. The OPTIONS are public http://rubydoc.info/github/cinchrb/cinch/file/docs/bot_options.md#sasl but the implementation is, reasonably, private tagged.
<lagweezle> The latter being the private bit.
<dominikh> as a matter of fact, how would one re-auth in the middle of a session? SASL needs to happen at the beginning of the connection
<onewheelskyward> I think sasl auth and nickserv auth are different, right?
<dominikh> yes
<onewheelskyward> I keep running into sasl auth issues when I try to irc over 4g on my phone. It just fails.
<dominikh> lagweezle: ping
<lagweezle> dominikh: Sorry, yes, hello.
<lagweezle> onewheelskyward: I was having that issue some on my commute, but I suspect my issue was that I had something wrong. I think it was behaving when I was at home, tethered to the phone, but the real check will be this afternoon's commute, I think.
<lagweezle> I was not aware that SASL wouldn't work at a later point. :/
