<keebler>
HELLO FROM THE 2ND REVISION MEB!!!!
<crazedpsyc>
hello there, my future hardware
<crazedpsyc>
nice to meet you
<keebler>
:)
<keebler>
All the interfaces seem to work, except, 12vdc is a bit much for the regulator on a 2layer board without significant heat dissipation.
<keebler>
9vdc also gets warm, but it's been over an hour so far and no thermal shutdowns.
<crazedpsyc>
personally I don't see a problem with sticking a heatsink on the dev board, just keep it in mind for the others
<keebler>
Well, I designed it with the intention of it being able to be integrated in very tight places. A heatsink would potentially exceed the height... of which, only 4mm remains from top of the DPAK to top of eth connector.

<vgrade>
the issue we have is that routing SD0 through to a MicroSD card slot proved to be much too challenging for a 6-layer board where there are only 3 signal layers (41 x 75mm PCB). instead, SD3 was routed to the MicroSD.
<vgrade>
the upshot of that is that booting from SD/MMC directly is not possible. so - leaving the wits-tech compiled NAND-capable boot0/boot1 in place, and copying a sunxi-compiled u-boot into the FAT NAND partition seems to do the trick.
<vgrade>
the instructions call for a special build of u-boot without SPL in config
<vgrade>
can someone explain this in a bit more detail?
<vgrade>
I've currently flashed a SPL version of uboot to nand and it boots my uImage but kernel can't find mmcblk0p2
<vgrade>
how does having a non SPL u-boot version help here ?
