Hi, I'm having a hard time finding the latest kicad project for the eoma68-a20 CPU card. I'm looking in git.rhombus-tech.net, eoma.git, master branch, in the eoma/pcb/allwinner_a10/pcmcia/cpu_card.pro project, but it doesn't seem complete. Can someone point me in the right direction?

You know chrs_ if he just supplied the necessary build stuff, I might be able to convert it to Arch for you

<steev>
WarheadsSE: i do supply it bro. github.com/steev/arm - dev branch, you need mali-drivers-bin, xorg-server 1.13.4, and xf86-video-armsoc-9999
<steev>
WarheadsSE: i apply 2 patches to xorg from chromiumos (alternatively, there is 1 patch to armsoc that needs to be written, i just haven't bothered/had time)
<WarheadsSE>
ah, that 1.13 requirement..
<WarheadsSE>
whats the difference from the one we have built?
<WarheadsSE>
steev: ^
<steev>
WarheadsSE: i use the sources from chromiumos, which works specifically with the t604, not the linaro sources that... god knows who/what they are doing
<WarheadsSE>
heh
<steev>
i don't hate the linaro guys, just wish they would actually follow their real mission statement instead of being canonical's bitch/pretending not to be, but still being canonical's bitch
<steev>
no, in actuality, it's more of a, ever since they started doing their own "bsp" releases, they haven't really bothered trying to get anything aside from (some) toolchain updates into upstream
<rmull>
Anybody know where I can find the latest eoma68-a20 CPU card schematic and PCB files?

<hno>
rmull, not sure those are made public. lkcl_ would know.
<rmull>
hno: I see some changes in the repo were made recently, and they look promising - I'll check them when I get back to my PC with kicad
<lkcl_>
rmull: the eoma68-a20 board isn't in kicad, it's done with PADS and ORCAD
<lkcl_>
joe took the a10 kicad stuff i did and ran with it, did some fantastic work, all GPL'd.
<lkcl_>
the order of events needs to be: sales first, enough to pay for the next projects, then we can look at releasing schematics files.
<lkcl_>
if you've engineering skills and can help out i can send you confidential schematics in PDF form ok?
<rmull>
Hm, okay... I have PADS, and I have one of the early boards... a schematic file would help a good deal when debugging
<rmull>
I guess I don't really understand the GPLed design files that aren't public
<rmull>
I have some engineering skills, but what I don't have is much spare time :(
<rmull>
lkcl_: I'd be interested in joining the debugging effort though exactly how much time I commit is hard to say. I have PADs and a microscope and everything you might find in an embedded prototyping shop
<mripard>
saying they don't do anything isn't really fair
hp__ has quit [Read error: Connection reset by peer]
<steev>
mripard: except that it isn't really linaro that does that work, just gets sent from a linaro mailing address. linaro doesn't pay them, the companies do.
hp__ has joined #arm-netbook
<mripard>
steev: no, they're all linaro employee or contractors
<steev>
when did linaro start actually paying people to work for them? because last i knew, all the people doing work were still paid for by the company they actually worked for, linaro just got to claim credit
<mripard>
I don't have a hard number to give you, but it's true that at the beginning, linaro were almost only made by engineers assigned to the linaro stuff by their employee
<mripard>
but linaro employs more and more people nowadays, and the previous way of working tend to disappear
<steev>
well that's good to hear, i just wish they would push more to upstreams than just the kernel (though the kernel is good too)
