whitequark: you often get much more interesting-looking effects with "imperfect" lighting. the best photos are those where one can see the technical content but that overall look visually pleasing as well. not easy, though :)

it actually may help: the paper will act as diffusor. you mean have to experiment a bit with the exposure setting, though, and probably post-process the image. (but that's something that's almost always necessary anyway)
