<mjgardes> Has anyone here tried to rebuild a Leybold rotary vane pump?
<mjgardes> I ended up with a washer left over from the seal kit, but I don't remember pulling a washer like that out when disassembling.
<mjgardes> and the ultimate pressure was worse after. not sure that's related to the extra rubber washer.
<Sync> left it running overnight with the gas ballast open?
<Sync> maybe only your oil is wet
<mjgardes> Yeah, did that. The gauge didn't move at all.
<Sync> well, I guess you'll need to take it apart again
<mjgardes> I assumed as much
<Sync> I rebuilt an ilmvac rotary vane, wasn't too hard
<Sync> but you need to make sure your surfaces match nicely
<mjgardes> That's what I'm thinking
<mjgardes> I haven't done anything to the plates or stator walls
