Hello dear world! I am heaving a sticky permission error when I 'bundle install' - bundler wants to install the gems globally (afaik). I came across this issue several times now, and thus there are many people out there heaving similar issues, no real answer seems to exist. thus my hope that you may help me here (please)

I managed to install the bundle locally using the flag --local (but i am not sure what exactly happens here). I downloaded another gem, and now I dont get it to install, so I quit this s**t and askhere: How would I configure bundler to be both secure/best practice and DRY? e.g. How can I configure bundler to install gems globally? Is there any comprehensive source on this issue?

Short review on what I did so far: As I dont have fast internet atm, I copied the bundle files of an 'older' (but not too old) app I created to $appdir$/vendor/bundle, and ran 'bundle install --path vendor/bundle', this worked fine. Later I had to add a gem. I 'bundle install'ed again, and the gem got fetched from github. Now it is (or should be) on my hearddrive. I found it, and build it, but no matter

what I do, I dont get it to install with the bundle. (I dont want to reload it, to save traffic). Anyone who feels my despair here?

To get all the digits for an integer, I can call Integer#digits. Is there a comparable method for floating point numbers?
