<ssvb> hi theskilledworker
<theskilledworker> ssvb: hi
<theskilledworker> ssvb: I don't know if I can ask you about sunxi mali binary drivers
<theskilledworker> ssvb: I'm looking at your gentoo-overlay repo and I'd like to know if I can get the binary drivers compiled with the soname
<theskilledworker> ssvb: I'm working on slackware and I need it
<ssvb> theskilledworker: that's all a little bit messy, and actually the binary mali blobs are a little bit broken in many subtle ways
<theskilledworker> ssvb: ok, I have understood that
<ssvb> so, what are you trying to achieve?
<ssvb> mali blobs packaging for slackware?
<theskilledworker> The kernel modules are ok
<theskilledworker> I need the soname for the libraries EGL and GLES
<theskilledworker> I have compiled the packages but the libraries are not found
<ssvb> just create the symlinks to libMali.so
<theskilledworker> I have tried everything
<theskilledworker> it doesn't work
<theskilledworker> I think it's the same for gentoo
<theskilledworker> It needs soname, as well
<theskilledworker> I have built a dummy library with the right soname
<theskilledworker> and I can see it with ldd
<ssvb> "it doesn't work" is not a good description
<ssvb> what exactly is happening?
<theskilledworker> cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory
<ssvb> what does ldd say?
<theskilledworker> not found
<ssvb> ?
<ssvb> can you pastebin the log?
<theskilledworker> yes sure
<theskilledworker> ssvb: http://pastebin.com/YQBrnKC1
<theskilledworker> I can create the sym to libMali
cnxsoft has quit [Quit: cnxsoft]
<ssvb> theskilledworker: yes, that's the right thing to do
<ssvb> however your setup is fubared anyway, because you have libGL.so.1 dependency
<theskilledworker> ssvb: if I create the symlink I get the same "not found" error
<ssvb> this may provide some insight about the problem you got in your system - http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/mesa-dev/2013-August/043219.html
<theskilledworker> ssvb: thanks. I've read the thread. So linaro is the only way to go, isn't it?

<bbf> does anyone have any idea on which component on Radxa could be responsible for the USB host part to not work at all?
<bbf> I received my board but it fails to recognize any USB device I plug into it... I already tried updating the rom to the latest available version and it didn't make any difference
<bbf> I'm know doing a close inspection on the solder points, and some look a little smudged
<Turl> bbf: do you have one of those externally powered usb hubs?
<Turl> you can try with that and see if it's a power failure or something else on the usb ports
<bbf> yeah, I already tried that
<bbf> it didn't work
<Turl> bbf: have you checked the dmesg output?
<bbf> its running Android, and I can't actually use any input
<bbf> do you mean by the serial port or something?
<bbf> does the serial port on the Radxa work at TTL levels ?
<Turl> ah, right, no keyboard :)
<Turl> if you got a serial console you could try that
<Turl> not sure
<bbf> I'm not sure of the voltage levels of the console though, let me see if they mention on the wiki
<bbf> yeah, TTL... let me try that
<bbf> I couldn't see anything wrong in the kernel log... I really think it's a hardware fault: http://pastebin.com/0q01agMN
<bbf> does anyone have a sample serial log from their Radxa booting up the latest Android rom?

<Emeryth> bbf: to be honest that doesn't look like a short, don't you have a multimeter to test it?
theskilledworker has quit [Quit: Bye]
<bbf> unfortunately I don't have one with me right now :(
<Emeryth> have you tried scrubbing it with something sharp?
<bbf> I don't want to do anything before I had feedback from Radxa itself
<bbf> I don't want to be blamed for breaking something that is not working :)
