Hi there, is it known how to install debian on radxa rock?
<m1r>
CosmicDuck: procedure is same as for ubuntu, just replace RFS with debian. should work

CosmicDuck: I have tried with slackware and it works. You need a rootfs.

Is radxa rock completely incompatible with USB 3.0 ports?
<utente>
qloogkm, it has not usb 3.0
<qloogkm>
utente: That's not usually a problem, I just wasn't able to write to it for the life of me with upgrade_tool on my Mac Mini running Virtualbox (Linux or Windows)
<qloogkm>
utente: 3.0 is supposed to be backwards compatible with 2.0 and 1.1
<qloogkm>
utente: But when I plugged it into the USB 2.0 port on my dedicated Windows machine it was fine.
<qloogkm>
rkbatchtool worked
<qloogkm>
*rkbatchtool worked fine on Linux, but that doesn't let you write the update.img file over the whole thing

hi
<jon1012>
using the linux/ubuntu images I have a problem of the /lib/modules folder not existing while trying to install kernel modules
<jon1012>
someone knows how I can get this folder ?
<jon1012>
(maybe a debian package to install ?)
<jon1012>
for wifi in this case
<jon1012>
another question, I don't find the information, I can't seem to use hostapd on 8723au, but I've seen on the web that there is a patched version available
<jon1012>
someone knows where I can find it ?

<theskilledworker>
jon1012: you have to create the modules folder with mkdir
<theskilledworker>
and then download the archive to extract
<jon1012>
theskilledworker, by the way, do you know about the hostapd stuff ? :)
<theskilledworker>
jon1012: no, I'm sorry
<jon1012>
ok, no problem :)
<jon1012>
thanks anyway

Question - with the case on the Radxa Rock there are two side panels. One of them has a hole open, which I assume is to be placed on the side that has the recovery button.

<qloogkm>
The other side has a |_| shaped cut, and this is currently over the reset button the way I have mine set up. The problem is that if you shift the case or wiggle it ever so slightly, the button gets hit.
<qloogkm>
My Radxa keeps resetting, it's really just a couple mm difference between the button getting pressed by the side panel or not.. this can't be the correct assembly, can it??
