razzy, freemint, I got some value out of getting things done. there is a book. but it comes down to use notes/todo-list, mainly so you don't have to worry about forgetting something or worrying with another (later) task, so you can fully focus on your current task. https://gettingthingsdone.com/five-steps/
<beneroth>
I never did really use it. Though both (and kinda all/most "productivity" systems) kinda boil down to divide & conquer: don't forget the big end goal, but don't focus on it, do not focus on the big mountain of effort, this is just too overwhelming. deduce iterative steps necessary to do next, and slice them small enough that the individual tasks are rather easy to do, then focus on getting one task after another.
<beneroth>
this way you get your little tasks done one after another, and after each completed task you can feel a little (but vital) achievement to keep you going
<beneroth>
train & repeat until its routine.

Good morning mtsd!

Good morning
<freemint>
Good morning
<freemint>
Regenaxer do you have any insights on productivityß
<Regenaxer>
Hi razzy, freemint
<Regenaxer>
Big question
<Regenaxer>
Do you worry about your productivity?
<freemint>
Yes
<freemint>
and i am generally curious wha you do to your day so it ecomes productive.
<Regenaxer>
I use as much as possible only my own tools. So I'm in control and not hindered in my productivity
<freemint>
Do you have a secret picolisp tool for scheduling your time or do you use pen and paper?
<Regenaxer>
I don't schedule my time at all
<Regenaxer>
Just a file with the name "toto" in every directory maintained with Vip
<freemint>
what's in toto?
orivej has quit [Ping timeout: 252 seconds]
<freemint>
is toto=todo ?
<freemint>
why in every directory?
<Regenaxer>
Sorry, yes, "todo"
<Regenaxer>
My editor jumps directly to such files
<razzy>
localised todo lists
<razzy>
interesting
<Regenaxer>
No big thing, just a convention for me
<razzy>
i wanted to bound my todo list to GPS coordinates
<razzy>
never done it
<freemint>
is it unique per directory or the same in each directory?
<freemint>
gps are coordinates are the wrong abstraction. ou might want to consider places which take gps coordinates
<razzy>
freemint: that what i meant
<razzy>
it is always about measuring your desired output and implementing changes to routine
<razzy>
predicting increments in output
<Regenaxer>
freemint, a separate file in each dir
<freemint>
and the file tells you what is next to do in this dir?
<razzy>
i bet Regenaxer work like interpretter :]
<razzy>
*lisp interpretter
<freemint>
i am just trying to sample the distribution of the landscape of productivity
<Regenaxer>
It has no special order, I just move things around manually
<Regenaxer>
More urgent items on top
<Regenaxer>
Really nothing special
<freemint>
ok
<Regenaxer>
I have 2 files in each dir in fact. The other is "note'
