kakadu_: it's unclear what you're proposing, it might get more replies if you structure it as a formal request for a general feature that many people can use outside of "just you"

that looks a bit dodgy though. if you want to add debugging output it's probably better to print to stderr rather than stdout. no idea if this is your actual problem, i'm just pointing out something that looks weird
