<ddfreyne> I found Atlassian's subtree explanation to be a bit confusing.

<guardian> hi
<guardian> getting back to my yesterday's questions
<guardian> I want to use nanoc to generate docs for multiple products of ours
<guardian> looking at how nanoc works, it means 1 site per doc
<guardian> however, I would like to share as much things as possible between those sites
<guardian> a gross starting description would be: for each site, everything (layout, css, js, rules, helpers) is shared BUT the content folder
<guardian> so each doc/site has its own content
<guardian> now to complicate a bit, I would like to have additional common content: this is content (in the sense of .md files) shared among the docs/sites
<bobthecow> why not have one nanoc site generate the whole mess then, but serve the site out of subfolders of /output/ rather than the top level output?
<guardian> this is the user story, and I have to decline that into a git submodule and or data sources solution
<guardian> why not a single big nanoc site? well I'm thinking about it. But so far, each product is in its own git repo, with a doc folder
<guardian> in fact I should investigate more on coding a data source, so that the location of the content is no more so much tied to THE content/ folder
