<def`>
(relying on a gnu tool doesn't work on OSX)
<def`>
so I updated the script, tagged a v1.7.1
<def`>
should this be a new package on opam repository or is there a way to update an existing one?
<thomasga>
you can add a patch into a files/ subdir
<thomasga>
and add a patch: field
<thomasga>
(in the opam file)
<thomasga>
see the dose.3.2.2+opam package for instance
<thomasga>
but you could also make a new release
<def`>
yep, the tarball is ready, so it's easier to do a new release
<def`>
should I update the merlin-1.7 opam package or create a new merlin-1.7.1?

seangrove, dunno if anyone else answered -- sounds cool. There is an HTTP server: <https://github.com/mirage/irmin/tree/master/lib/server> for serving an irmin db over http. What kind of integration were you thinking?
<dsheets>
thomasga, is probably the person you want to talk to about that. It may still be a little early to start bindings.
<thomasga>
(haven't seen the question)
<thomasga>
but the http server is very low-level at the moment (ie. works on the block and tag store directly)
<thomasga>
they are some higher-level API calls available as well, but that's not complete and totally satisfactory yet
<dsheets>
thomasga, <seangrove> Hey all, I'm looking on some information on using Irmin from other languages, specifically Clojure - wondering if there's any documentation on that, or if it'd be a crazy thing to try at this point

thomasga: Hey, just looking to start simple, and thought I might be able to use the JSON CRUD interface, but had a few questions that can perhaps go onto the wiki
<thomasga>
seangrove: not very available now, but feel free to send the questions on the mirage mailing list
<seangrove>
Ok, will do
<amirmc>
seangrove: are you sgrove on HN?
<seangrove>
amirmc: Yeah
<amirmc>
Ah, cool :) We're in the midst of a bunch of release for OCaml Platform stuff
<amirmc>
Hence, some of the Mirage folks have been busy with that
<seangrove>
amirmc: I was really attracted to Irmin, and ended up listening to a few podcasts/talks from the mirage group - really fascinating stuff you're doing

And very impressed with how much progress you've been able to make with the team size/time
<amirmc>
Good stuff! Did you see the FLOSS TV video?
<seangrove>
No, I haven't, I'll check it out now, thanks
