Net147_: RK3399's video inputs are only MIPI CSI or the RGB camera interface. I think the former is somewhat supported by staging drivers; there were some patches floating about for the latter but only with PX30 support initially
camus has joined #linux-rockchip
<robmur01>
so if you have an HDMI->CSI bridge chip that is itself well-supported, maybe. Otherwise, probably not.

(i just googled, yes it's csi)
<robmur01>
I see there's an upstream driver for TC358743, but no idea how compatible it might be.

robmur01: Net147: actually the rkisp driver moved out of staging with 5.11 ... and I managed to use a texas instruments hdmi input -> csi bridge sucessfully with it already
<robmur01>
oh, cool - last time I looked the focus seemed to be on destaging the DT bindings first; didn't realise the whole lot was done already :)
<mps>
is there irc channel for helios64 (rk3399)
<mps>
one alpine user and I struggling few days to make bootable kernel for this board
<mps>
it boots but can't detect mmc card
<Werner>
Since Armbian provides images including a working kernel for this board try check out their repository. Maybe you can adopt the missing piece from there.

Werner: I looked but iirc their kernel is somewhat outdated, 5.6.x iirc
<Werner>
rockchip64-current is 5.10.y and dev is 5.11
<Werner>
Not sure where you looked :P
<mps>
Werner: armbian?
<Werner>
Yes, Armbian
<mps>
ah, so I looked somewhere in wrong place. thanks
<nomis>
Is the "drive strength" register relevant for pullup/pulldown only? or is this relevant for pins configured as output? (rk3328 in my case)
<nomis>
(and talking about GPIO pins)
<nomis>
I am asking because my hardware has this weird LED setup where setting the gpio2:6 pin as output allows me to toggle between red and blue, and using a PWM allows me to get various shades of pink/purple.
<nomis>
Setting the pin to "input" disables both LEDs, so I am hoping to be able to dim the overall brightness by changing the drive strength.

It is relevant for outputs

<nomis>
ok, thanks.
<nomis>
ok, it indeed has an effect on the led brightness - just not that much...
