<_kiara>
i received not long ago a rockhip dev board , it came with android installed on it, and some devices attached to it , leds,sensors,thermal sensor, camera ,relay and more. most of them are connected via gpio , some usb
<_kiara>
the weird thing is for the led for example (3 leds) they are connected on gpio_sw but with totaly different names for example to turn on the white led i have to "echo 1 > /sys/devices/platform/rk3288-extern-gpio/gpio_sw/WIFI_PW/data"
<_kiara>
so right now i am trying to understand which gpio is turning on a relay gate ,
<_kiara>
i did checked the hardware pins and it seems they are connected to pin 19 and 20 , however when i exported the pins to the /sys/class/gpio/export and then tried to changed the value of it, it did not work. i am at a stage that i am sitting on it for over 10h with out any success
<_kiara>
there is an app on the OS , which allow me to change the relay more (normaly open, normaly close)
<_kiara>
any of u have an idea how can i determine what the app is controlling ? or what gpio is that so i can turn on and off the relay on my command ?

_kiara: have you considered using something like strace to monitor calls to write(2) or ioctl(2)?

_kiara: if you have access to debugfs (typically /sys/kernel/debug/, sometimes under /d/ in Android), check for a "gpio" file there which will give a nice summary
<robmur01>
beware that GPIO numbers and pin numbers usually bear no relation to each other whatsoever

hi all, i have 256mb rockpi s running 5.6 kernel, but compared to downstream, it behaves weird - i must after poweroff disconnect from usb both - uart dongle and cable powering rockpi, first boot sometime is successful, sometime not
