<vicencb> Hi, i have been running linux on a RK3399 Sapphire board.
<vicencb> Now am considering to buy a kevin chromebook.
<vicencb> But before i would like to hear which are your experiences with it.
<vicencb> My main concern is how to boot linux:
<vicencb> are you using the factory bootloader and pressing Ctrl+D every boot?
<vicencb> are you using coreboot built from source?
<vicencb> are you using other bootloaders, like e.g.: U-Boot?

<Ke> vicencb: you can select default boot source with crossystem

<vicencb> Ke: is this the command "crossystem dev_default_boot=" you are referring to?

<Ke> vicencb: probably yes, don't remember the details
<vicencb> Ke: from the archlinuxarm page it explains how to install linux on external media. Do you know if it is possible to install it in the eMMC and also boot from there by default?
<vicencb> i mean, without having to press Ctrl+D or waiting 30 seconds

<hanetzer> vicencb: the ctrl+d thing is depthcharge. mod it and you can. Also I've been working on an asus c201 (veyron speedy) u-boot port which should be doable as well :)
