Hi. I'm having problem with bcm4329 driver on s5pv210 (Samsung i9000 aka Aries). I've added sdhci/wifi config to dts and now it fails with following error
<PabloPL>
[ 598.793947] brcmfmac: brcmf_fw_map_chip_to_name: using brcm/brcmfmac4329-sdio.bin for chip 0x004329(17193) rev 0x000003
<PabloPL>

<PabloPL>
[ 598.918474] brcmfmac mmc0:0001:1: Direct firmware load for brcm/brcmfmac4329-sdio.clm_blob failed with error -2

First one is from arch linux arm which i'm currently booting from sdcard, second from lineageos/cyanogenmod git repos. Didn't tried yet to take firmware file from stock
<mszyprow>
PabloPL: driver compiled in or module?
<mszyprow>
PabloPL: if compiled in, the firmware also has to be compiled in
<PabloPL>
module
<mszyprow>
try with the firmware which was shipped with the phone / extracted from android image
<PabloPL>
ok
<mszyprow>
I know that some brcm hw fails with the firmware from linux-firmware, but works fine with older one shipped with android
<PabloPL>
hm...on stock there are few firmware files
<PabloPL>
I hope there are not many errors in dts...
<PabloPL>
I'm looking at board files from 3.0.86 and schematic
<mszyprow>
PabloPL: clock for brcm?
<mszyprow>
PabloPL: it should be similar to i9300, which is in mainline
<mszyprow>
(but I didn't check the schematic, just another random idea)
<PabloPL>
m0 or that new patches (not yet commited) for s3/note 2 (or something like this)?
<mszyprow>
yea
<mszyprow>
trats2/m0/i9300 are almost the same
<PabloPL>
only aries/i9000 is without mainline support ;)

PabloPL: feel free to submit your work to mainline then ;)

mszyprow: In schematic i see 32KHZ_AP coming out from pmic (max8998) to bt_wifi (it's spliting and also coming to gps and fm), but i don't see in max8998 driver anything for it
<mszyprow>
max8998 might lack that part
<mszyprow>
but 32KHZ is only used by BT part of that chip
<mszyprow>
so it should not have any inpact on wifi
<mszyprow>
if max8998 doesn't expose any control for that clock, then it is probably enabled all the time by default
<PabloPL>
i wonder how much difference is between goni and aries (goni has uboot). Playing with heimdall/odin and switichig between usb/jig is taking time :/
<mszyprow>
PabloPL: goni has additional connector for uart :)
<mszyprow>
PabloPL: like most of the dev versions of the samsung mobiles
<PabloPL>
and anyway for flashing
