I'm using the original Samsung Chromebook (e.g., XE303C12). Is there anyway to get the official firmware to load an initial RAM disk with a kernel?

I built mainline U-Boot and the keyboard wouldn't work on the Samsung Chromebook.

Only the pre-packaged kpart blobs from Arch Linux ARM have been able to work for me (I tried building my own, but even those wouldn't work).

Can vboot load a FIT that has a kernel, a ramdisk, and DTBs in it?
<UB_User>
All I'm after is a simple setup where the first partition has either a U-Boot that can load kernels or a Linux kernel/ramdisk that can act as a bootloader (e.g., Petitboot).
