<Wizzup> I went from 4.2.2 to 4.4.1 and now my gpg card doesn't seem to work anymore. Works on 4.2.2 (when I go back), but not on 4.4.1. Very odd, config is pretty much identical.
<Wizzup> Low level debugging in pcscd doesn't seem to show much. Hmm..

<Wizzup> http://sprunge.us/iZHD 4.2.2
<Wizzup> http://sprunge.us/ZZPK 4.4.1
<Wizzup> Wondering if perhaps it has something to do with 4.4.1 having the v4l webcam enabled
<Wizzup> But it seems something broke between 4.4.1 and 4.2.2
<Wizzup> (vimdiff on those two pastes really helps)
<Wizzup> (p.s. this starting pcscd, plugging in card afterwards, and typing gpg2 --card-status, so there's no pincodes in that apdu ;-)

<rsv> which device uses exynos 5422
<rsv> and can i find the kernel for galaxy s5
<Wizzup> rsv: peach-pi uses it
<rsv> Wizzup: peach pi is 5800
<Wizzup> isn't that the same?
<Wizzup> hm.
<rsv> i dont know
<rsv> Wizzup: where can i find the kernel
<rsv> for peach pi
<Wizzup> mainline + exynos_defconfig
<Wizzup> 4.4 works
<Wizzup> I'm using it every day
<rsv> i want to run that on odroid xu3
<Wizzup> uh
<Wizzup> I'll be back siin
<Wizzup> soon*
<Wizzup> you can use the kernel with xu3 dt, if it is sufficient
<Wizzup> we need a wiki page on it
<Wizzup> afk.
<rsv> when you say mainline. is it kernel.org
<rsv> Wizzup: is this the tree: https://github.com/linux-exynos/linux.git
<Wizzup> no
<Wizzup> just kernel.org
<Wizzup> we need to remove that repo... (github)
<rsv> Wizzup: apologies for asking too many... xu3 uses 3.10. do we have a kernel something close to that
<Wizzup> rsv: idle here and see if someone knows, or look at the xu3 device tree
<rsv> okay, Wizzup: does suspend-resume work. power management works on peach-pi?
<Wizzup> it works on peach-pi, mostly
<Wizzup> I'm going to restaurant now. Will be mostly afk
<rsv> thanks man
<LiquidAcid> rsv, afaik nothing of thagt works on the xu3
<rsv> LiquidAcid: yes, it does not
<rsv> LiquidAcid: are you aware of any kernel i can use for xu3 other than odroid's
<LiquidAcid> rsv, iirc the bootloader is partly to blame for that
<rsv> LiquidAcid: for aht?
<rsv> *for what?
<LiquidAcid> power management, suspend/resume
<LiquidAcid> i think bgamari knows more about that
<rsv> LiquidAcid: i am trying to mix and match to see if it works
<LiquidAcid> rsv, you mean 3.10 and 4.5?
<rsv> LiquidAcid: i have 3.10. i am checking if i can find something works atleast
<rsv> to start with
<rsv> LiquidAcid: i am not sure if it is the bootloader.
<LiquidAcid> rsv, afaik 4.4.y should boot with upstream uboot
<rsv> i am unable to put power domains to off
<LiquidAcid> then leave the domains on
<rsv> LiquidAcid: they consume power
<LiquidAcid> and?
<LiquidAcid> like i said, the current bootloader makes it impossible to have proper power management anyway
<LiquidAcid> if power consumption is a thing, then the xu3 is probably the wrong board anyway
<rsv> LiquidAcid: i have a bootloader that comes with xyref board and the results are the same. what i am trying to say is it is not just the bootloader
<LiquidAcid> rsv, define bootloader
<LiquidAcid> i refer to bl1/bl2
<LiquidAcid> i don't talk about u-boot
<rsv> okay
<rsv> LiquidAcid: can you just tell me why you think it is a bl1/bl2 problem
<rsv> i dont know what i am missing here
<LiquidAcid> rsv, it's not me that thinks this
<rsv> LiquidAcid: you were referring to a 4.5 kernel. is it in hardkernel repo
<LiquidAcid> rsv, no, i meant mainline 4.5-rc3
<rsv> LiquidAcid: i was going through the dts file in the mainline. i am not seeing any references to power domains
<rsv> am i looking at the correct ones
<LiquidAcid> rsv, probably in one of the includes dtsi
<rsv> LiquidAcid: what ya working on mate?
<LiquidAcid> rsv, working on awesomeness dude
<rsv> :-)
<rsv> LiquidAcid, thanks for your time. i got to get some food
