<krzk> In case anyone is interested and want to participate: I put my TODO items for Exynos boards on a public wiki:
<krzk> This is list of ideas/TODO items for mainline kernel for Exynos boards.
<krzk> Everyone are welcome to contribute (e.g. add some new items to the list or take a task and do it). The list is world-readable although to edit you will need a Tizen.org account.
<LiquidAcid> krzk, shouldn't this also work on exynos4412? https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/8002661/
<krzk> Yes, this should work, I wanted first to fix Exynos5422 because that board I have personally
<LiquidAcid> krzk, k, thanks for the info, i was just wondering
<krzk> LiquidAcid: but of course this applies to all Exynos4 as well. Probably the problem would be the same for now
<krzk> LiquidAcid: the driver needs to copy unaligned buffers to a new memory region
<LiquidAcid> krzk, you mean the issue with the selftest failing?
<LiquidAcid> i never looked into that after reporting i'm afraid
<krzk> LiquidAcid: yes, that issue. I narrowed it to the unaligned memory in scatter list passed as input and output
<LiquidAcid> ah, doesn't surprise me though, seems like all blocks come with some kind of alignment enforcement (mixer, fimc, etc.)
<krzk> LiquidAcid: the omap-aes driver in such case makes a new allocation and copies the buffers... which seems like a solution for Exynos as well.
<krzk> LiquidAcid: Anyway I added new entry to the list - "Add sss-s5p to Exynos4 DTSI and boards"
<LiquidAcid> krzk, i guess one would have to benchmark to see if this introduces any significant overhead, but for now it looks like a good solution
<krzk> yes, indeed

<LiquidAcid> krzk, i was just thinking, but put a ref to marek's new ipp series into that todo list of yours (http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-samsung-soc/msg49389.html)
<LiquidAcid> something along the lines of: expose ipp subsystem (fimc, rotator, etc.) to userspace
