<jnettlet> is GTS fully support on the Exynos 5420 at this point? I have seen the patches for the MCPM posted. I just haven't seen any demos of MFP on the 5420 other than from Samsung.

<ugz> jnettlet: do you have 5420 hw?
<jnettlet> ugz, yeah I picked up a Samsung Chromebook 2
<jnettlet> I can probably get the Odroid board as well
<jnettlet> I think the XU-2 has a 5420 in it
<ugz> i have the arndale but it's been nothing but pita
<jnettlet> ugz, so you have attempted to get all 8 cores working?
<ugz> 3.17 was the first mainline kernel i got to boot and it finally has usb3 but no big.little nor display
<ugz> well i've tried different kernels but no luck with the a7s
<jnettlet> well that is what I am trying to get a grasp on. There is a samsung tree that seems to have MCPM support. Then there is an older Linaro tree that is supposed to have MFP support but I haven't tracked that down yet.
<ugz> you may have better luck with your chromebook
<jnettlet> I am a little angry with my chromebook. Well it runs fine and I love the build and form factor.
<jnettlet> But it is only running the quad a15's
<jnettlet> you can't even bring the little core's online, well that I can tell so far.
<ugz> i'd love gts too but i doubt it will never happen
<jnettlet> oh it is going to happen
<ugz> sure :) i'd love to be proven wrong though
<ugz> but like i said, you may have a better chance with your chromebook
<jnettlet> sounds like I should pick up an odroid board, as I can leave that broken for longer periods of time
<ugz> i can ship you my arndale
<ugz> it has taken too much of my time already
<jnettlet> lol...nah that is okay. I have to poke a few other devs and figure out where things got left off
<ugz> what if i pay you to take it?
<jnettlet> but if I get it to work then you will want it back :)
<jnettlet> have you tried any of the Linaro builds for it?
<ugz> yes
<jnettlet> I thought that was an official Linaro supported board.
<ugz> i don't know what the real situation is atm but i think they dropped the support for samsung boards
<ugz> they did release a build with mali support though
<ugz> but it lacks usb3 and big.little
<jnettlet> well usb3 support is in the chrome os kernel builds
<ugz> mainline too
<ugz> but i got no display with mainline in exchange
<ugz> who knows, maybe it's some config option. i'm sure ppl here know better than me
<jnettlet> that is odd the KMS driver should be mainline'd
<ugz> well i'm not a smart man
<jnettlet> well I am just digging in. I have lots of work with MX6, and some Marvell chips to keep me busy. But I want to travel with this chromebook so the faster the better :)
<ugz> i have the older exynos chromebook
<ugz> although the hw is pretty bad and i hate samsung bucket plastic, i do like it a lot
<ugz> light, ok battery life and most importantly, no fans!

<jnettlet> I am the complete opposite. I hate having to touch metal. Cold aluminum cases with sharp edges...blech
<ugz> well i don't like the fact i can click the touchpad button from under the laptop :)
<Wizzup> heh
