I'm trying to grab a 32 bit exe of jruby for windows. Specifically, 9.0.5.0. When I click on the link I'm taken to:
<babartz>
...which is a dead end. "Webpage cannot be found". How can I get a copy of that version? Thanks.
<enebo>
babartz: unfortunately somehow our s3 buckets for downloads got deleted. I am trying to restore from backups but 9.0.5.0 is one we don't seem to have anymore (for windows installer)
<enebo>
babartz: is this for a production application?
<babartz>
Yes
<enebo>
babartz: I could possibly release a 9.0.5.1 which is just a version change.
<babartz>
That would be great. I appreciate it!
<enebo>
babartz: ok I will try and get something out soonish. we did not set up our s3 env and were shocked that a) it disappeared b) there is not restore
<babartz>
Thanks again.
<enebo>
I have backups of older releases but I made the mistake of switching from MacOS and the newer machine is not on time machine :(
<babartz>
ugh
<enebo>
so fun week...plus I was in Japan and backups were in US :)
<babartz>
Hey, at least you got to go to Japan
<enebo>
hahaha
<enebo>
indeed
<babartz>
My coworker just found a copy of that exe. Want me to send you a copy?
<enebo>
babartz: well that would be great
<babartz>
Just let me know where
<babartz>
can I upload it here?
<enebo>
any dl link would be easiest
<enebo>
babartz: anything I could set up for uploading would be more complicated to communicate and I am not entirely sure what I would recommend in that case
<babartz>
Sure. email?
<enebo>
babartz: yeah that should be small enough to work
<enebo>
babartz: tom dot enebo gmail
<babartz>
on it's way...
<enebo>
babartz: thanks. so I will reup this to s3
<enebo>
babartz: If you could send me any email explaining your use of JRuby I would love to hear that as well
<enebo>
babartz: I wondered if anyone used the installers for windows for production use
<enebo>
babartz: I believe gmail may be blocking a bunch of attachment types now
<babartz>
We're a Microsoft shop and someone set us up with a Ruby implementation for test automation.
<babartz>
My server is blocking it. Going to try a different account.
<enebo>
babartz: which ruby automation library?
<enebo>
babartz: well can you share a link on google drive?
<enebo>
babartz: ah but you are not using google mail account
<babartz>
No. Let me try my personal email account...
<enebo>
babartz: funny in 2017 this sort of thing is still tricky
