<GasVesa>
hello, really no way to "fix" the mksdcard.sh script and make it works on laptop card readers too? (those that lists cards like /dev/mmcblk0 )
<hste_>
gasvesa: it works on that. You have to edit the variable in the script from /dev/sdb to /dev/mmcblk0
<GasVesa>
simply editin the scrpt?
<hste_>
yes
<GasVesa>
MMC_DEV=/dev/sdb --> MMC_DEV=/dev/mmcblk0 does not work... :-)
<GasVesa>
grrr
<GasVesa>
damn VAIO
<GasVesa>
and damn SONY too
<GasVesa>
heh
<hste_>
it should. It work on my laptop. What error do you get after changing the variable?
<GasVesa>
Change the variable MMC_DEV to the right device
<GasVesa>
wait
<GasVesa>
it doesn accept the default answer
<hste_>
You should have "#"
<GasVesa>
but if u answer Y it works
<GasVesa>
:-)
<GasVesa>
u NEED to type Y
<GasVesa>
hehe
<GasVesa>
it's working now
<GasVesa>
downloading
<GasVesa>
just one last stupid question
<GasVesa>
the script for the kernel update works in the same way?
<hste_>
gasVesa: yes
<GasVesa>
tnx man for the really goot job.
<GasVesa>

<GasVesa>
i'm using an old north-bridge passive cooler... :-)
<iamfrankenstein>
How big? 2cm by 2cm?
<GasVesa>

<GasVesa>

<hste>

<hste>
gasvesa: you could try setting it in /etc/network/interfaces
<GasVesa>
yes, but my ubuntu laptop does not use that file to configure it... i need an "example"
<hste>
iface wlan0 inet dhcp
<hste>
wpa-essid YourSID
<hste>
wpa-psk YourPassword
<GasVesa>
this is a good one!
<GasVesa>
:-)
<GasVesa>
first the network and then fbset
<GasVesa>
better use aptitude?
<hste>
gasvesa: its only when running upgrade you should use aptitude as it hold some packages
