<victhor_> how do you add a spi flash id to u-boot so it will recognize the flash?
<victhor_> I'm using the boundary uboot, 2014.07, in any case
<victhor_> I tried adding the id to drivers/mtd/spi/sf_probe.c but it didn't work.
<victhor_> still says "Unsupported flash IDs: manuf ef, jedec 3014, ext_jedec 0000"

<victhor_> found it, the board configuration file did not define the manufacturer in question. I suspected it was the problem, but couldn't find the configuration file.

<nrmmota> hi everyone
<nrmmota> I'm trying to transcode a full hd stream
<nrmmota> but the gstreamer h264 encoder does not seem to respect my bitrate choice

<dv_> I have seen this happen
<dv_> I am not sure why
<nrmmota> have you tested this in 3.14.x?
<nrmmota> I'm still using 3.0.35
<dv_> maybe I do need to specify the bitrate in the VpuEncEncParam structure as well
<dv_> I currently do not (only in the openparam)
<dv_> the thing is, I dont always see it happen
<dv_> its not dependent on the kernel version
<dv_> this is actually an open todo point, which I may have just solved :)
<dv_> as said, it is possible the bitrate must be set there as well
<nrmmota> I'll take a look then
<dv_> yeah please, I currently cannot
<nrmmota> enc_enc_param->nQuantParam = enc->quant_param;
<nrmmota> quantization is in fact being specifie
<nrmmota> and increasing it does not result in lower bitrates
<nrmmota> quality seems to be the same as the source
<nrmmota> :S
<nrmmota> either using bitrate or quant-param
<dv_> if you use constant quality, you do not see a difference in size?
<dv_> that is strange. i did.

<nrmmota> I'm doing live streaming
<nrmmota> bitrate does not work
<nrmmota> using quant_param doesn't seem to work either
<nrmmota> output bitrate is always similar to input bitrate
<nrmmota> I tried adding bitrate to vpuencenc structure
<nrmmota> but either I don't know how to do it
<nrmmota> or it doesn't work either
<nrmmota> I'll have to leave now
<nrmmota> see you
