<Tarmo>
hello, i've ran into a problem with wandboard when adding a kernel I compiled (3.10.17-1.0.0_ga from github) to ubuntu rootfs : VFS: Cannot open root device "mmcblk0p2" or unknown-block(179,2): error -6 has anyone encountered this sort of problem
<Esmil>
I don't know if it's your problem, but keep in mind that the wandboard is a bit funny. It boots from mmc2 (the card holder on the small board)
<Esmil>
if you only have a card there at boot it will show up as mmcblk0
<Esmil>
..but if you have another card in the other card holder
<Esmil>
at boot
<Esmil>
That card will show up as mmcblk0
<Esmil>
..and the bootable card in mmc2 will show up as mmcblk1
<Tarmo>
there is no card in the other card holder
<Tarmo>
the whole root filesystem resedes on mmcblk0p1 and I have no idea why mmcblk0p2 is to be mounted
<aholler>
it's the default
<aholler>
you either have to use reconfigure u-boot, use a boot-script (mkimage) or add root=foo into your kernel-options
<Tarmo>
ok

<Tarmo>
well managed to get past the issue by modifying kernel options
<Tarmo>
thank you for your help and suggestion aholler !
