<Paradox>
dominikh, is there any easy way to override the channel join sync, to, say, make the bot not read the banlist?
<dominikh>
Paradox: nope. why?
<Paradox>
just wondering, one of my bots is in over 120 chans and restarting it takes a long time before it starts responding to commands
<dominikh>
ah
<dominikh>
you'd need to patch cinch for that
<Paradox>
no worries then
<Paradox>
i'll play around with giving it a custom connect class
<Paradox>
see if i can up its sendq

I'm trying to get cinch to join two channels
<CorrosiveOne>
c.channels = ['chan1', 'chan2']
<CorrosiveOne>
it only joins chan1
<CorrosiveOne>
can anyone help me resolve this?
<dominikh>
look at the log output.
<CorrosiveOne>
doh
<CorrosiveOne>
thanks, my mistake
<CorrosiveOne>
I forgot the # for chan2
<dominikh>
there we go :)
<CorrosiveOne>
I wrote a simple sms notifier when my nick was called in channel using sockets, so much easier with cinch with the added bonus of multiple chanels :0
<CorrosiveOne>

<CorrosiveOne>
thanks again, I'm off to finish iup
<dominikh>
you're insane, though :) SMS, really? enjoy some quiet time instead ;)
<CorrosiveOne>
lol, true enough
CorrosiveOne has left #cinch ["I was drunk last time I set this message"]
<Gizmokid2005>
whew, SMS from IRC....that seems like a recipe for disaster.
<Gizmokid2005>
plus the ease of scripting something to just highlight someone non-stop so you don't even have to be there. Then, depending on how you have SMS setup, you could send max length IRC messages nonstop and really blow up their phone (and if they're not smart, their texting plan!)
<Gizmokid2005>
Oh...you went there dominikh
