<somasonic> dominikh, the reason I submitted that PR with the example is because I looked up that page to see how to use events, and was stumped for a while why "on :event" would not work in my plugin
<somasonic> if you think that's likely just me being stupid, feel free to refuse it
<somasonic> (the reason I was confused being because the example on the page uses `on`)
<dominikh> somasonic: I think it's the wrong place to explain how to use events. there's a general lack of non-API introductory documentation, that's for sure
<dominikh> but by the point you get to the Events list, we should have established how to use them
<somasonic> well, I agree that it probably isn't the best place to put it. but i will leave it up to you to decide an alternative place/refuse the PR
<somasonic> I do not know how you wish for things to be organized
<dominikh> neither do I, really. I'm still waiting for someone to write said documentation ;)
<somasonic> lol
<somasonic> well, if you want to refuse the PR until there is a suitible place to put that kinda thing, I won't be offended
<dominikh> I'll leave it open, but I'm not sure when or how I'll merge it.
* somasonic nods
<somasonic> I notice your ";)" regarding documentation but I feel that I do not know the project well enough to consider helping with that :P
<dominikh> no worries, it wasn't really an encouraging kind of wink
<somasonic> fwiw, I am now using cinch across two bots, on 9 networks, and I cannot thank you enough. I have only encountered one time when something didn't work *exactly* how I thought it should
<dominikh> it's been like that for 3 years, to be honest.
<somasonic> really pleased
<dominikh> glad to hear that :)
